It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard James (“Rick”) Donahue. He died of sudden cardiac arrest on July 3, 2021, while serving as organist at St. Clement Church, Cambridge, at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Rick was deeply loved and his music and sense of humour touched so many people. Survived by his wife Danguole (“Dee”) and their daughter Anne; his brother Dan, sister-in-law Sheila and their daughter Candice; father-in-law Antanas (“Tony") Laugalys and the Laugalys/Feick/Collis clan; nephews Chris and Geoff and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Kathleen (“Kay"), brother Bill, and mother-in-law Aldona.

A memorial service will be held at Lounsbury Funeral Home, Cambridge, after Covid restrictions are lessened in Waterloo Region. Our deepest thanks to Emergency Medical Services for their heroic efforts, to Father Mariusz for performing CPR, and to our friends for their outpouring of support. You are amazing and we love you. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Most importantly, keep your doctor’s appointments and take every opportunity to tell your dear ones how much they mean to you.
