With deep sadness we share the news that our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 in her 85th year with her family by her side.
Dear daughter of the late Charles and Adeline Johnally, beloved wife of George Foreman, loving mother of Kamla Evans (Jamie), Karen Ellis (Robert) and Roxanne Foreman (Lonnie Colter), cherished grandmother of Kyla (Matthew), Robin (Varun), Emma (Jade), Kristina (Tom), Aaron and Kim (Kendra) and dear sister of Dickie (Merle) Johnally.
Besides her parents Jean was predeceased by her sisters Grace Moulton, Evelyn Harris, and Daphne Parkin, and brothers Vincent, Horace and George Johnally.
Jean was born in Port Maria, Jamaica where she worked as a telephone operator and later an interior decorator. She and George were married in 1957 and immigrated to Canada in 1962. They lived in Montreal and Waterloo, before settling in Cambridge to be close to their 3 daughters. Jean’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her dishes were legendary, including her macaroni and cheese, Christmas cake and jelly roll. Jean was a devout Christian whose faith gave her much comfort. The most important blessing in her life was her family whom she treasured.
A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at a later date when Covid-19 restrictions allow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
