Obituary

Gloria Braga passed away peacefully on February 22nd with the love of her life and husband Manny, her boys Mike, Bradley, Jeff and Richard, her daughter and best friend Angie, her step daughter Lisa, and her grandchildren by her side. She was the matriarch of a large family including children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Beyond that Gloria kept her distant relatives in touch always attending family functions and making sure everyone stayed connected.
There wasn't a grapevine in and around her family that didn't pass through Gloria. She enjoyed being actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren Jenna, Justin, Michael, Jordan, Tylor, Lacey, Devon, Connor, Nikkita, Payton and Chelsea. If any of them had sporting events or activities on the calendar she would do her best to be there.
Upon retirement Gloria moved to Sauble Beach with Manny. Their home on the Sauble River was a popular and beautiful getaway for the family to visit in summer months, but winters were long. After a couple years they relocated to Owen Sound, but the distance to her grandkids and great grandkids still proved too much for her. She convinced Manny to sell the house and move back to Cambridge to be closer to the kids.
It was five months to the day between her cancer diagnosis and her final day. Gloria was taken from her loving family far too soon, but her spirit, generosity, and loving nature will never be forgotten.
Due to Covid-19 her visitation on Friday, February 26th from 6 pm until 9 pm requires an RSVP to Lounsbury Funeral Home through their website or by phone. A private funeral will be held Saturday morning where Gloria will be taken to her forever home at New Hope Cemetery.
