Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 20th in her home at the age of 72 with her Family by her side. Lovely Wife of Yousef Makdasy of Cambridge. Beloved Mother of Nasir of Germany, Nagham of Cambridge, and Namir of Iraq. Dear Sister of Najat and Ibtisam of Cambridge, Noel of Australia, Sabah of Iraq, Behnam (deceased), Bassel of Iraq and Hany of Iraq. Grandmother of Amany and Yosif of Iraq, Nathan, Lilian, and Vivian of Cambridge.

Amoma is remembered by many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Amoma loved her Family so much and took care of every member, she is and will always live in their memory with her sense of Humor, her kindness, and her lovely smile.

She enjoyed reading the Bible every day, teaching her Daughter and Sons the truly Faith of lovely God. Even if she had difficult Life, you could see her singing to her Lord and faced the difficulties with the power of the Holy Spirit.

She worked as a nurse more than 40 years in Iraq, when she arrived in Canada, had diagnosed by stage 4 Cancer. She fought it for two years and left us with an Image of strongly fighter.

Family would like to thank the nurses and the medical staff in daycare section in Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and all the nurses who took care of her last Months at Home. Big thanks to nurse Abi for her warm and kindly heart.

Resting at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge, the Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m on Friday October 23, 2020. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Rest in peace Amoma we all love you
