Obituary

Scott, Kenneth Maurice September 20, 1952 - November 6, 2019. It is with absolute sadness and shock that we announce the tragic death of Ken Scott. Soulmate and husband to Michelle and loving father to Zachary and Samuel. Beloved son of Maurice Scott, dear brother of Diane Scott, Jim Scott (Lorraine) and Debra Peel (Darrell). Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Scott (Wingrove). He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as by his adoring family in Sault Ste. Marie.

Proud to be born in Galt, Ken, was familiar to many as Scotty, The Legend, The Diamond Lake Avenger or simply, Kenny. He will be remembered for his undeniable love of life, his family, friends, and sports, especially hockey. He is fondly known far and wide for his quick humour, his legendary stories and his ability to light up a room.

A celebration of life for Ken will be held at Dockside, at the Old Marina Restaurant on Wednesday, November 13th from 3:00-7:00 pm.

Contributions in memory of Ken will be accepted at Jumpstart in support of sports for kids or MADD.

I can tell you that Ken was a stellar guy! Great hockey player. He could skate all day and he was an awesome guy in the change room. He got along with everyone and had some really great hockey stories from a very long career with well known hockey players. He could talk hockey all day and never bore you. He was also a very avid water skier along with his wife and boys and always spoke very lovingly of his wife and family. All in all a real guys guy, he was just a fun guy to be around. We will definitely miss him on this team! John King, Captain, Brampton Looking Back

Ken was a fairly recent addition to the Brampton Looking Back and it was a privilege to play as a goaltender behind him. Ken was a strong skater and playmaker and although he was a part of our team for only a few seasons I enjoyed every tournament we played together. He was amicable and humorous and celebrated both the wins and the losses with his team mates after games. Ken will be missed both off and on the ice, but never forgotten. Ken will be terribly missed by all who knew him. Jane and I are heartbroken about this shocking and saddening turn of events. Ken's positive attitude and "Joie de Vivre" will be irreplaceable.... but to honour his memory, we must all try to imitate his approach to life as we go forward. ....With Love, Ken & Jane
