It is with great heartbreak and profound regret that we announce the sad passing of Ann Louise Litavski (nee Howells). After gallantly fighting a lengthy illness she passed peacefully in the early morning hours of August 21, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Laura and her son Adrian (wife Christi-Ann). She was loved as “Nana” and will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Matthew (deceased), Marshall, Kathryn, Nicholas and Jordan. Ann is also survived by her brother Donald H. Howells and is sadly pre-deceased by her mother Evelyn L. Howells and her father Harold D. Howells. Ann was born in Toronto and as a young budding artist started our family with her former husband Jerry Litavski (deceased). She worked in many roles within the retail industry throughout the years but her most prized role was as a devoted and caring Mother. Once she had retired and her children had grown, she eventually settled in Cambridge where she became an active member of her condominium’s board of directors. During this time, she also played a vital role in the lives of her 4 grandchildren. It was this involvement that gave her the most pride and joy. Nana, you will be sorely missed. Friends and family may call at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd, on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 1:00pm until time of service where Ann’s life will be celebrated at 2:00pm. During Ann’s last few weeks, she and her family received truly amazing and supportive care from the wonderful staff at Lisaard House here in Cambridge. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Lisaard House Hospice.
