Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2019, 3 weeks after his 95th birthday. Loving husband of Alice Millar-Sauder. Cherished father of Diane Burmaster (Glen) of Cambridge and Rosemary Badke (Bill) of Mission, B.C., and step-father of Jamie, Ian (April), and Jennifer Millar (Blake Coverett). Beloved grandfather of James (Melissa) Burmaster of Cambridge, Shelley (Matthew) Brenneman of New Hamburg, Shawn Badke of Mission B.C. and Jordan Badke of Mission B.C, as well as 5 step-grandchildren. Proud great-grandfather to Nathan, Jonathan, Caleb, and Sarah Brenneman; Daniel, Kayla and Samuel Burmaster; and Zachary Badke. Harvey will also be sadly missed by his brother Maurice (Mabel), and his sister Joanna (Delt Holst and Alfred Ropp), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his first wife Hazel (nee Einwechter); his brothers Wesley (Luella), Stanley (Gladys and Dorothy), and Mahlon (Barbara, Judy and Dianna); and his sister Miriam (Alvin). Harvey was a veteran of World War 2, and was a long-time member of Hespeler Baptist Church. Harvey was a long time Hespeler resident and was known around town as the London Life Insurance man for 30 years. The family wishes to thank the Saint Luke’s Place staff for their excellent care. Resting at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge where family will receive friends on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Hespeler Baptist Church, 76 Adam Street, Cambridge. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery. Donations made to the Saint Luke’s Place Foundation in memory of Harvey would be appreciated by the family.
